Tent camping is a great way to fully appreciate what the back country has to offer.  There are about 11 public campgrounds in and around Orange County.  Although the beach campgrounds are not quite considered back country locations, you do have a wide choice of other sites that range from developed to primitive.  At any site, however, the memories of tent camping will stay with you forever.
